Black Stone Cherry The Celebrate Tour
Formed in Edmonton, Kentucky, by lifelong friends Chris Robertson and John Fred Young, Black Stone Cherry built their sound on a love of Southern rock, blues and heavy riffs. Joined by Ben Wells and Jon Lawhon, the band drew early inspiration from The Kentucky Headhunters, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Muddy Waters and Cream, honing their craft in local gigs before signing to Roadrunner Records in 2005.
From Kentucky Clubs to International Stages
Their self-titled debut album in 2006 marked a turning point, with a triumphant homecoming show playing to over 1,500 fans. A live album recorded at London's Astoria in 2007 captured the energy of their first international tour, and that same year they picked up Best New Band at the London Classic Rock Awards.
A Reputation Built on Live Shows
Black Stone Cherry have earned their stripes on the road, supporting heavyweights like Whitesnake, Def Leppard, Nickelback, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bad Company. They headlined the Download Festival in 2013, cementing their status as one of rock's most electric live acts.
