BLACK STONE CHERRY - THE CELEBRATE TOUR
Formed in 2001 by lifelong friends Chris Robertson and John Fred Young, Black Stone Cherry grew out of Edmonton, Kentucky, drawing on the Southern rock lineage of The Kentucky Headhunters alongside influences such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Muddy Waters and Cream. Joined by Ben Wells and Jon Lawhon, the four-piece built their reputation the hard way, playing countless local shows before Roadrunner Records came calling in 2005.
A Band Built on Live Shows
Their 2006 self-titled debut sparked a homecoming gig in front of over 1,500 fans, and a limited-edition live album recorded at London's Astoria captured the energy of their first international tour. Since then they've shared stages with Whitesnake, Def Leppard, Nickelback, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bad Company, and headlined Download Festival in 2013 - a track record that has made them one of rock's most reliably electric touring acts.
