Black Stone Cherry - the Celebrate Tour
Black Stone Cherry bring their unmistakable blend of Southern rock, blues grit and huge guitar riffs to the Celebrate Tour, a show made for long-time devotees and curious newcomers who love loud, high-energy live music with real roots.
Kentucky Roots and a Rock Pedigree
The band was formed by guitarist and vocalist Chris Robertson and drummer John Fred Young, childhood friends from Edmonton, Kentucky, later joined by Ben Wells on guitar and Jon Lawhon on bass. Young's family ties to Grammy-winning outfit The Kentucky Headhunters run deep, and the band even wrote and rehearsed in the same farmhouse their forebears once used. Lynyrd Skynyrd, Muddy Waters and Cream all shaped their sound early on.
From Local Gigs to International Stages
What began as shows around their home state grew quickly, leading to a deal with Roadrunner Records and a self-titled debut album in 2006. A packed hometown homecoming and a live record cut at London's Astoria followed, alongside a Best New Band win at the London Classic Rock Awards. Since then they've shared stages with Whitesnake, Def Leppard, Nickelback, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bad Company, and headlined Download Festival - a live reputation built the hard way, gig by gig.
