Black Stone Cherry
Kentucky rockers Black Stone Cherry bring their fierce brand of Southern rock to Belfast, offering a night of blistering guitar work and soulful vocals for anyone who loves their rock music loud, raw and full of heart.
From Edmonton to Arenas
Founded in 2001 by childhood friends Chris Robertson and John Fred Young, the band grew out of small-town gigs in Edmonton, Kentucky. Young's father Richard, of The Kentucky Headhunters, was an early influence, alongside Lynyrd Skynyrd, Muddy Waters and Cream. Joined by Ben Wells and Jon Lawhon, the four-piece built a devoted following before signing to Roadrunner Records in 2005.
A Reputation Built on the Road
Their 2006 debut album led to a triumphant homecoming show and, later that year, a live recording at London's Astoria that became a limited-edition release. The band has since shared stages with Whitesnake, Def Leppard, Nickelback, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bad Company, and headlined the Download Festival in 2013. It's this relentless touring and unmistakable live energy that has cemented their reputation as one of rock's most compelling live acts.
